Face
This photograph was taken the night before I moved to Florida (02/27/03). My grandmother is in the wheelchair and a face appears to be coming out of the wall, covering my brother and hovering over my head. I am not sure what is coming out of the wall at the bottom of the picture but it appears that there is more than just the face. I am interested in hearing what others think of this. The photograph was taken with a digital camera. It is automatic focus as well. It appears as if the camera was attempting to focus on the face and everything around it blurred. Nothing appeared on the rest of the photos that were captured that evening.

That is one awesome photo!
Do you have an idea whose energy it could be?
Just wondering if your grandfather was alive at the time.
I have a good imagination and can envison this as a paranormal "hug" for your grandmother.
Also, are the energies coming from a wall with photos? If so,who is in them?
I really have no idea. After enlarging the face and blocking out the background it is still difficult to tell. It actually looks like an american indian woman. My grandfather passed away in 1992 and my mother passed away at age 52 in 2000. The top photo on the wall is of my grandmother and grandfather, the next is of me and my husband and the final one is of grandchildren. It is hard to tell if the face is coming from that wall or from the living room just beyond. If it is from the lving room, the way the face is traveling, it could have actually come down a long hallway as well.
Frankly this looks like a double exposure. The face and the distortion under the face all look like someone moving through the picture frame. The picture is so easy to reproduce that I think it is suspect. You can easily create your own picture like this by using a 35mm film camera and when you are done with the roll, you rewind the roll to almost the end. Then you replace that same roll in the camera and expose your previously taken photos a second time. This process would easily create the Ghostly face in this picture. In fact most beginning 35mm Photo how too books will have a section on how the create a picture just like this.
The photo may look like a double exposure, but Onyx took it with a digital camera and I for one, believe her since I know her personally. She was excited to share this photo with the group and understandably so.
Before I actually experienced the thrill of seeing anomalies in my own photos from my own digital camera, I assumed most paranormal photos were somehow "doctored" with, so in that respect, I can understand your skepticism.
But I have to say, jsuarez, that your analysis less than kind. Are you an expert or professional photographer ?
(Reply to Jsuarez cont...)
Do you have any photos to share ?
We're members of the same group and are posting on this blog to share & learn & support each other.
I would not be so naive as to believe that "paranormal" photos can not be faked or that double-exposures can not occur, but to intimidate that this photo was purposely altered comes across as an insult and I believe you owe Onyx an apology.
CB
Onyx,
I do apologize to you, if my words seem a little harsh. I was not questioning your integrity, just pointing out the fact that the picture has a major weakness. Again I apologize if YOU found my words harsh.
CB,
I have taken well over 8,000 pictures with various 35mm Cameras, and another 10,000+ with my digitals. I would not call myself a Professional Photographer, but I do know a great deal about how to fake pictures. Including how to double expose film to get the same results that Onyx's picture appears to be. It is from this background that I question any photo with an apparent double exposure on it.
I will always critique any picture that I can recreate with my camera's. I strongly believe that as a group we should be looking for pictures that can not be duplicated, in fact our stuff (pictures included) should be beyond reproach. Why? Credibility! Are we really looking for answers? Are we investigating, or are we just going to go out and invade peoples home for a trill?
And that last comment I will never apologize for. It's a question that we all should be prepared to answer with "We are here to investigate!" each and every time. Just as during my first meeting with this group Marie brought up that we don't want to waste our time with people out for a lark on us. Why should people let us into their homes, for a trill?
To Jsuarez - Pay closer attention before you comment. You might have noticed before you opened your mouth that I used a digital camera. Also, it was evaluated by a professional. Since you aren't one, your opinion means nothing to me. You obvious aren't a team player. Don't be a hater because I captured something you don't have. It's obvious from your lack of postings that you have no photos to share. When you become such an "expert" your opinion might mean something to the rest of us...until then....might I suggest minding your own business!
Onyx,
Yes I missed the 'Digital Camera' comment. But again if you take the time to read my first post, you see that I question the picture because I can recreate it with my 35mm.
And frankly it seems that you forgot that you invited comments from others. This was taken from your original post "I am interested in hearing what others think of this." So your suggestion to "I suggest minding your own business!" seems out of place. If you did't want comments you shold not have invited them.
Peace and a good evening to you and yours.
You are absolutely correct. Sorry about that and thank you for your input.
